We are starting to plan our upcoming events at the Golf Event and Snack Shack. Volunteers are needed for the next 365 Health Fair at the Highlands Ranch Eastgate Community Center on Saturday, April 22nd. An email with the details by Lion Pat Carlson went out to you last week.
Our latest eyeglass sorting event was held on March 30th and we were joined by the Douglas County club who brought a lot of eyeglasses. We delivered to the sorting center 3,133 eyeglasses in 12 boxes. The new location of the sorting center is quite nice and has a bathroom!
LCIF donations from District 6C are at 95% of the goal. Please consider a donation to LCIF before June 30, 2023 to get the donations over the goal. Our DG Bob Storrs has encouraged our District to donate 10% over the goal.
At our regular May 4
pleasure of hosting the Mayor Pro-Tem, Rik Holt and the Public Works Director, Jeff Dankenbring of the City of Centennial. We need as many members to attend as the main topic will be the state of the City presentation and they can answer any and all of our questions which you all are challenged to ask.
Some upcoming events for your attending:
*April 6th meeting presentation by Chris Layne “Get Up, Get Out, Get Rolling”
*April 22nd 365 Health Fair at the Highlands Ranch Eastgate Community Center
*April 28th and 29 District Convention at the Lakewood Holiday Inn
*May 6th Lions Camp workday noon to 4 pm
*May 19th Opening Day for burgers and hot dogs at the Snack Shack
*June 3rd District Cabinet meeting at the Banquet Room and picnic afterward at the Centennial Airport Office building patio.
See you at the next meeting and service project! Yours in Lionism,
